Pull it. Watch it fly.

Set your canopy's glide ratio and wing loading, then work the front risers, rear risers and toggles on the left, right or both sides. Watch pitch, roll and yaw from the side, above and behind, with air flowing past the wing and jumper.

Tool only. This does not replace coaching. The Input Lab is an educational approximation. It shows the trends (dive, surge, bank, turn, flare, stall) but is not a real flight-dynamics model and is not instruction. Always get canopy-handling training from a qualified coach or instructor.

    Before you use Canopy Lab

    This is a tool only.
    It does not replace coaching.
Canopy Lab does not teach you how to fly a canopy.
    • Not instruction. Nothing in this app is training or advice. Only a qualified canopy coach or instructor can teach you canopy flight.
    • Not 100% accurate. The Input Lab is a simplified visual model. Real canopies behave differently depending on their design, size, wing loading, the conditions and the pilot.
    • Not a wind guarantee. Wind Penetration is a planning aid only and cannot be relied on fully. Forecast winds can be wrong or out of date, canopy speeds are estimates, and the maths simplifies real flight (gusts, turbulence and wind gradient are not modelled).
    • Not for decisions in the air. Do not use it to decide what to do on a real jump. Speaking to your instructor or canopy coach is more important and more accurate. Their advice, your own judgement on the day, current conditions and your drop zone's rules always come first.
